Education in Himachal Pradesh is administered by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education at all levels. It is a state board in India and is also referred to as the HPBOSE. At present, more than 8000 schools are affiliated with the HPBOSE Board. It has set up 1846 examination centres throughout the state.

Functions of HPBOSE

HPBOSE is a government body which is responsible for organising and conducting the board exams at the state level for 10th and 12th standard. Apart from conducting the board exams, HPBOSE is responsible for various other educational activities as mentioned below.
